Project: Internal and external refurbishment and fit out of Nash College, Bromely, Kent
Client: Liability, the new face of John Grooms and the Shaftsbury Society

The project was secured following an open market competive tender against 4 other contractors. The works included demolition of concrete canopies; removal of asbestos; complete strip out of reception, communial areas and 18 bathrooms used by disabled students; replacement new windows; complete render of external elevations; refurbishment of bathrooms; new reception; decoration; lighting; ventilation and air conditioning.

The project involved the removal of existing Crittal windows and replacement with new UPVC; complete render of external elevations with one coat Webber Render; new fascia, guttering and down pipes; brick cleaning; redecoration; new signage, lighting and services; curtain walling; lightening conductor works.

Project: Forming structural openings (Nash College, Bromely, Kent)

The project involved the soft strip of existing fixtures and relocation of gas, water and electrical services; forming a 4 meter wide structural opening through a 500mm wide load bearing masonry wall; support of existing structural slabs, "temporary works design" and a saw cut trench through ground floor slab; a steel box beam was installed and temporary propping removed.

The works included complete strip out of all engineering services, existing water plant, toilets, workshop, ward area, nurse stations and kitchenette. The supply and installation of new water treatment plant room, reception area, kitchenette, new Flatwall media panels, lighting, suspended ceiling, glazed screens, solid partitioning and soft flooring.
